Celebrating Team Tropical: Harold

In our Celebrating Team Tropical series, we commemorate our employees’ work anniversaries by getting to know them and their role at Tropical better. Meet Harold, one of our hard-working order pullers, who is celebrating 16 YEARS with us today!

Tell us about your role at Tropical:

Part of my role is preparing orders, pulling and packing orders, and placing them in the delivery area. I also have to comply with all procedures, rules and regulations.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part is wrapping things up at the end of the day – getting our products out for shipment and on the way to our customers!

What project/success are you most proud of here?

The success I’m most proud of is when I see the owners smiling! When they’re happy, I’m happy…a job well done.

What’s your favorite memory from working here?

My favorite memory is moving from the old building to the new building.

What is on your wish list for your next five years here?

Retirement!!! Just kidding! I’m going to keep on working as long as I can!

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?

Probably a photographer and a full-time D.J.

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?

My mother, an awesome woman.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you:

I’m a twin, and the youngest of 8 siblings. I have Cherokee & African American heritage.
