Celebrating Team Tropical: Jodie

In our Celebrating Team Tropical series, we commemorate our employees’ work anniversaries by getting to know them and their role at Tropical better. Meet Jodie who is our Inside Sales Manager at our Atlanta office. She celebrates 27 YEARS with the company this week!

Tell us about your role at Tropical: October 10^th was my 27^th anniversary with Tropical Foods. I started as a receptionist, went into inside sales and now I get to interact with everyone in our organization in my role as Inside Sales Manager of the Atlanta OC.

What’s your favorite part of your job? Working with customers and the fun product line that Tropical offers.

What project/success are you most proud of here? Receiving 2 Presidential awards and 3 Inside Sales Person of the Year awards!

What’s your favorite memory from working here? All of the relationships that I have developed with both my customers and coworkers over the years.

What is on your wish list for your next five years here? To see the Tropical come back from Covid days stronger and better than ever before.

What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this? School teacher

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor? Our company founder, Mr. York.  I absolutely loved his views on operating a business.

Tell us something that might surprise us about you: I love to work in the yard or any type of work outside.

If they made a movie of your life, who would play you? Sandra Bullock. She’s a strong brunette that’s not afraid to stand up for herself!
