Donna Bruno, Merchandiser, IZ Cafe
TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND CUSTOMERS:
We have a neighborhood market, cafe, and a catering business. Our market and cafe are in neighborhoods where we have loyal repeat customers. The market is like the old time small-scale grocery store with fresh meats and breads and home-cooked meals. The Mt. Brook neighborhood consists of families that have lived there for years & years and it’s not uncommon to see the same people day after day. The cafe situated in Vestavia Hills also has home-cooked meals Tues-Thurs ready for pick up after 4. Lunch consists of hot and cold sandwiches, soups and salads. Our catering business goes from small scale home parties to the elaborate wedding receptions. We pride ourselves in making our food from scratch with an interesting and varied menu.
WHAT TROPICAL PRODUCTS DOES YOUR BUSINESS SELL?

HOW DO YOU MERCHANDISE YOUR PRODUCTS FOR MAXIMUM SUCCESS? ANY TIPS & TRICKS?
We use attractive packaging or shrink-wrapping on our products. Occasionally we use mugs, trays, etc. Tropical nuts go into many of our baked goods and our all natural granola. We love getting healthy snack items in bulk that we can package ourselves in our branding.
