TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND CUSTOMERS:

The One Stoppe Shoppe was opened in 1989 by Paris and Linda Morfopoulos. Since then, the family-run business has been supplying locals and out-of-towners alike with exactly what they need and want. In fact, that is the secret to the One Stoppe Shoppe, finding out what is needed and wanted and making it available.

After more than 25 years of researching, surveying and refining their inventory, they know exactly what their customers are looking for. The store has become world-famous with customers ordering from around the globe to get their favorite items that they can’t find at home.

Our clientele is pretty equally split between people who like healthy snacks – like the veggie chips and raw almonds; and people who really like chocolate covered anything. We were happily surprised with sales this year for the green bean snacks and the vegetable chips, and also with the Marich chocolate popcorn and cherries.

WHAT TROPICAL PRODUCTS DOES YOUR BUSINESS SELL?

We’ve been a Tropical customer since 2010. Snack mixes like Sunburst, Diet Delight, and Hi-Energy are some of our best sellers. We have been selling them steadily for years and it’s awesome to find a product that stands the test of time.We also sell a lot of the raw almonds and cashews, chocolates and plantain chips.We sell a lot of the gluten-free mini cookies too. Altogether, we sell roughly 50 products from Tropical. the nut mixes in particular are an excellent product.

HOW DO YOU MERCHANDISE YOUR PRODUCTS FOR MAXIMUM SUCCESS? ANY TIPS & TRICKS?

We have them displayed in several areas throughout the store. We have a front and back entrance, so there is one display with several different Tropical products on it when you walk into the back, and then 3 other areas in the front of the store where we display them. We rotate the products on the rack at the back every few weeks since that is a very noticeable location. It seems to be a good idea to have more than one display of product, because someone who may be interested upon seeing a product the first time may just need to see it one more time to decide to buy it.
